Plus you know how it goes when something is popular, you're going to have followers. I'm not complaining, I like the designs and it looks cute enough. I agree with Jim, it's glening from Cuphead's style when it comes to gameplay and animation choice, but that aside, the vibe is all it's own and going for a more fantasy feel then a old school toon throwback in the form of a shooter. Hence why they started up a kickstarter in the first place to make it look better. Well you gotta keep in mind that these are early concept builds, not the final product. Also, it's hard to tell from the trailer, but it looks as if the gameplay has some subtle differences from Cuphead too (for example, when the boy gets hit with a hammer, instead of taking damage, he seemingly just gets squashed down for a few seconds.) It's a shame that they couldn't have strayed from Cuphead's style a little more, but I don't think it's fair to call it a complete ripoff. So many creative ideas went into this game. While the game does seem to use a similar Boss Game format and art style, the worlds, the characters, and the plotline are very different from those in Cuphead. It borrows the gameplay style, and the art and seemingly the music in its aesthetic too.
